We are currently running morning and evening classes as follows :
KNITTING: Morning classes – currently on Thursday mornings commencing at 9.30 am till 11.30 am
Evening classes – currently on Tuesday evenings commencing at 7.00 pm till 9.00 pm.
Our knitting classes run over 3 consecutive mornings or evenings.
The costs of our classes is $64 for the 3 week course.
Included in this cost is the Patons Learn to Knit Book, needles and yarn to complete a sampler.
 The three week course covers the following:
- Knit Stitch
- Purl stitch
- Stocking stitch
- Garter stitch
- Increasing
- Decreasing
- How to count your rows
- How to pick up dropped stitches
- The importance of tension checks and how to achieve correct tension.
- Understanding what the ball band is telling you.
- Rib Stitch
- Moss Stitch
- Understanding basic knitting terms
- How to read patterns

Our crochet classes run over 3 consecutive mornings or evenings.
The costs of our classes is $64 for the 3 week course.
Included in this cost is the Patons Learn to Crochet Book, hook and yarn to complete a sampler.
 The three week course covers the following:
- Crochet stitches - double crochet, half treble, treble, double treble and slip stitch
- Crochet techniques and tips
- How to acheive the correct crochet tension for garments
- Terminology Australia/UK and USA
- How to read a pattern
- Granny Squares
- Simple flowers and embellishments

If you can already knit or crochet but need a little help with a project or technique, we have Dianne Drysdale from Australian Country Spinners at our shop every Tuesday from 12.00 pm till 2.00 pm. No bookings are necessary. |
